BRONKO NAGURSKI MUSEUM
When Bronko died in January 1990, the people of International Falls were asked how they would like to honor their favorite citizen. A museum honoring Bronko received the highest endorsement. The Bronko Nagurski Museum, constructed as a wing to the Koochiching County Historical Society was opened in June of 1993.
The Bronko Nagurski Museum, is the first museum dedicated to an individual football player. In the spirit of Bronko, the museum is not elaborate or overstated, it is, however a quality, state-of-the-art museum facility. Exciting exhibits will inform visitors about International Falls, about the evolution of the sport of professional football and Bronko's life. Photographs, artifacts, contracts and other materials from Bronko's distinguished life are on exhibit. A fifteen minute video summary of Bronko's life including actual footage from his playing career is shown in the theater.
The museum is open year-round except holidays from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. The Bronko Nagurski Museum is located at 214 Sixth Avenue, International Falls, Minnesota and you may call (218) 283-4316 for more information.
